About Mrs. Prevett, the CHS Lightning Dancer Director...
Tami Prevett graduated from Mayde Creek High School where she was a three year captain of the Martinettes. Tami was part of the first graduating class.
After high school, Tami became a "world famous" Kilgore College Rangerette and Lieutenant her sophomaore year. With the Rangerettes, Tami performed at the Cotton Bowl, the Jerry Lewis Telethon, and traveled to New York for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. She finished her education at the University of North Texas. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree. During college Tami taught for Showtime International Dance Drill Team Camp and special events.
Tami started her career in Southlake, Texas, at Carroll High School where she was the Director of the Carroll Emerald Belles. She was also the Director of the National Champion, The Colony Topcats.
Tami accepted her dream job in May of 2004 as the Director of the Central High School Lightning Dance Team.
Tami has been married to Jeff since 1997 and they have one daughter, Shyanne.
